Custodial Correctional Officers play a vital role in maintaining public safety by ensuring the security of offenders while guiding them toward rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support offender education, vocational training and employment programs to promote positive behavior and personal growth.
* Foster cultural engagement initiatives to enhance community relationships and understanding.
* Manage prisoner inductions, accommodation units and daily operations to maintain order and discipline.
- Formal Qualification: Successful applicants will be required to enroll in a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Custodial) as part of their employment. A 10-week paid training program is included for skill development. Career progression opportunities are available within the organization. Depending on work location some shift allowances may apply
