About the role
Martin Metal Works Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Structural/Mechanical Draftsman to join our team in Longwarry, VIC. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and designs for a variety of engineering projects, contributing to the overall success of our business.
What you'll be doing
* Generating 2D and 3D CAD drawings for structural and mechanical engineering projects
* Collaborating with project engineers to interpret design specifications and requirements
* Ensuring drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards and industry best practices
* Providing technical support and advice to project teams throughout the design process
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of our drafting processes and standards
What we're looking for
* 3+ years of experience as a Structural/Mechanical Draftsman, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
* Strong technical understanding of engineering principles, materials, and construction methods
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
* Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
