The Role The Operations Accountant is crucial in supporting Central Operations Finance by analysing operational and factory metrics within the Bega Group matrix. This position involves professional accounting work, including data compilation, consolidation, and financial analysis. The position preference is based in Strathmerton, 3641 or Tatura, 3616. Alternatively, can be open to Docklands, 3008. Please note this is a 12-month maternity leave cover. Responsibilities: Develop and circulate key manufacturing reports to stakeholders. These reports highlight both our sites' financial and operational performance, providing valuable insights for decision-making. Keep a close eye on labour and procurement costs. Compare employee hours and materials expenses to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness. Assist in delivering daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Additionally, contribute to balance sheet reconciliations and in-depth analysis. Play a crucial role in the budgeting and forecasting and audits process. Your analysis will help shape our financial plans and drive informed decisions. Identify and report on risks discovered during financial analysis. Ensure strict compliance with relevant Accounting and Internal control standards, safeguarding our financial integrity. About you: Tertiary Qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a similar discipline Ideally, you have experience in a similar role, particularly within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. Possess an advanced level of Excel knowledge. Demonstrate a proactive approach to process enhancement. Take pride in maintaining a high level of accuracy across all deliverables.
