Empower Children Through Home-Based Education
Make a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians in need by providing tutoring services to families in the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngster (HIPPY) program.
As a Tutor, you will empower parents and carers to be their child's first teacher through a free, two-year, home-based early childhood learning program. You will maintain records of children's participation in HIPPY, assist with parent group meetings, and participate in community engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tutoring services to families in the HIPPY program.
* Maintain accurate records of children's participation in HIPPY and family participation.
* Assist with planning, coordination, setup, and cleanup of parent group meetings.
* Support relevant community engagement, networking, and promotional activities as required.
Requirements for Success:
* Be a parent participating in the HIPPY Program or have participated in the program within 12 months of appointment as a Tutor.
* Identify with the local community and demonstrate a commitment to working within it.
* Exhibit effective communication skills that support program delivery.
* Be comfortable visiting homes in the community.
* Possess a current Queensland Drivers Licence.
* Hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
