Definitive Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated sales focused Recruitment Consultant join our established Legal Executive Search team.

This opportunity offers a position for a highly motivated individual to our established Sydney office. The role will involve working on exclusive and retained mandates on behalf of law firms. You will be exposed to the 360-recruitment cycle by initiating the recruitment process through making strategic, high volume calls to Partner Level Legal candidates, assisting with market research reports, candidate mapping, attending client and candidate meetings and other business development based tasks.
Your Profile Will Demonstrate
* Minimum 1 year' experience in a sales or recruitment/executive search position;
* Knowledge of the Legal sector and how law firms are structured;
* A driven, high energy and entrepreneurial attitude to your work, a proactive and positive approach;
* A strong appetite and aptitude for a role involving a high volume of phone calls to and effective communication with senior executives (Law Firm Partners);
* A team player, keen to work in a collegial small team environment;
* Proven success in a role with an aspect of cold calling work;
* Fast and accurate research skills;
* A highly motivated self-starter, used to working with a reasonable degree of autonomy;
* High attention to detail – through the recording of information and producing key business documents;
* Experience of writing, editing and proof-reading documents for presentation to clients;
* The ability to meet multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment; and
* Excellent MS Office and general IT skills, along with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
Key Responsibilities of the Role Include
* A high volume of phone calls to senior executives (Law Firm Partners) in a sales focused environment;
* Setting up candidate meetings for qualified candidates for the Melbourne Legal Principal Consultant;
* Qualifying candidates in detail via phone calls and (as the role evolves) via in person candidate meetings;
* Market research (using online tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter), creation of candidate analysis documents and market overview documents for clients;
* Support a Principal Consultant in all day-to-day activities;
* Exercising creativity in sourcing candidates via other methods, such as referrals, networking and the effective use of LinkedIn;
* Across a period of 12-18 months, the role will expand from qualifying candidates to Consultancy and running your own 360 recruitment processes;
* Upon strong performance, there is a clear path to promotion to a full-service Executive Search Consultant position;
* Work to high level results/outcome focused to KPIs;
* End to end recruitment services including advertising, screening, interviewing and shortlisting candidates;
* Negotiates salary and offers of employment;
* Manage the database from an administrative perspective ensuring data entry and accuracy; and
* Organise candidate meetings and phone conferences.
$80,000- $85,000 per annum plus market leading commission structure
