Electrical Control Systems Engineer
This role offers ownership of control systems development, from conception to commissioning, for high-voltage transmission projects across the country.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive protection and control systems design packages for HV substation projects.
* Develop specifications, schematics, and functional logic diagrams in line with industry standards.
* Collaborate closely with HV electrical, primary/secondary, and drafting teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Support site integration and commissioning of control systems, guaranteeing their smooth operation and reliability.
* Maintain quality assurance, documentation, and compliance with technical standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
* Proven experience working on protection/control systems in transmission networks, with a strong understanding of relevant technologies and industry standards.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
* CPEng or equivalent professional certification, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
* Membership or eligibility with a relevant engineering body, showcasing dedication to industry best practices.
* Solid grasp of substation SCADA, PLC, HMI, and protection relays, enabling effective system integration and management.
* Strong experience with relevant standards, such as AS/NZS 61850, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
