Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Assurance and Risk, you'll support the planning and delivery of capital upgrades across MAIB's supported accommodation facilities and provide ongoing facilities, asset, contract and risk support across MAIB's broader corporate asset portfolio. MAIB's supported accommodation services include 24/7 care for clients catastrophically injured in a motor accident, with sites in Hobart, Launceston and Ulverstone. You'll join a collaborative team focused on optimising outcomes across the full project lifecycle, bringing structure, commercial discipline and a practical \"get it done\" mindset to contractor management, site coordination and governance.
Your new role
Help deliver a capital works and facilities renewal program that directly supports Tasmanians impacted by serious road trauma. MAIB administers Tasmania's compulsory third party personal injury motor accident insurance scheme and is focused on sustainable, client-centred outcomes.
Manage contractor and consultant relationships: procurement support, onboarding, performance monitoring and renewalsCoordinate facilities and asset maintenance across properties, vehicles and physical assetsSupport capital works/construction activity: site coordination, scheduling, reporting, stakeholder comms.Track risks and support governance, assurance and safety activities
What you'll need to succeed
Solid experience in facilities/building and asset management and maintenance programsProven capability managing procurement and contractors/consultants in line with Government policyStrong project support, budgeting and cost monitoring skillsConfident communicator with sound judgement and discretion
