Key Role in Cancer Research
We seek a dedicated Scientific Officer to join our team. In this pivotal position, you will be primarily responsible for bioinformatics analysis of internal and publicly available datasets.
Responsibilities include:
* Conducting bioinformatics analysis to identify new targets for drug intervention in paediatric acute leukaemia.
* Identifying molecular biomarkers predictive of in vivo responses to anti-leukaemic drugs.
* Liaising with Computational Biology and Bioinformatics groups to facilitate analysis of bioinformatics datasets.
* Drafting manuscripts of preclinical drug testing data generated internally.
* Supporting junior members in their written assignments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess:
* PhD in science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience in RNA-seq and Next Generation Sequencing data analysis using bioinformatics techniques.
* Excellent scientific writing skills.
* A demonstrated track record of senior author publications.
* Exceptional attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
