We're on the lookout for a skilled Metal Machinist to join our team in Dalby. If you've got experience working with CNC lathes, a solid trade background, and a strong safety focus, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
You'll play a key role in producing quality components for the oil and gas industry, including threaded parts and specialised assemblies. Your work will involve:
* Setting up and operating CNC lathes and manual milling machines
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specs
* Performing precision machining to tight tolerances
* Assembling components like ECP/ICP packers using approved jigs and fixtures
* Conducting maintenance and repair of machine components
* Completing quality checks and production documentation
What you'll bring
* Trade qualification (Fitter & Turner or similar)
* 3+ years of CNC machining experience, ideally in thread manufacturing
* A strong safety mindset and attention to detail
* The right to work in Australia
* Driver's licence
Desirable (but not essential):
* Forklift licence and First Aid certificate
* Experience with Fagor CNC controllers or CAD programs
* Oil and gas industry knowledge
