Manager Network Operations, Queensland Health

Take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity Digital Infrastructure Services, Enterprise Technology Services Branch.

The role

Ensure the technical delivery of all infrastructures that enables user access to enterprise systems to defined service levels

Key responsibilities:

* Lead, develop and manage a technical team in the delivery, operation and support of the enterprise infrastructure that enables access to enterprise systems to ensure defined service levels are met.
* Collaborate with other operations teams within the branch to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels across the branch.
* Manage the provision and implementation of enterprise Access infrastructure and assets in accordance with the defined implementation plan for resource capacity to ensure infrastructure is optimised.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

* Demonstrated ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management. (SFIA Code: ITMG 6).
* Proven general understanding and high level technical knowledge in some of the following technology domains, to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation: (SFIA Code: TECH 6)
o External Access solutions;
o Enterprise Network, both Wide and Local Area; Wireless technologies;
o IP Telephony, Quality of Service models, Load balancing; Directory Services (e-Directory and Active Directory); Authentication, Access, and Authorisation technologies; DNS and DHCP;
* High level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people including senior business, technical stakeholders and external service providers to make (NHS Effective and Strategic influencing, SFIA Code: RLMT 6, ITCM 6)
* Well-developed management skills and knowledge including high level ability in the areas of planning, managing resources, process compliance, budget preparation and financial management. (SFIA Code: FMIT 5, ASMG 6)
* Understand, support and promote the organisation's vision, mission and business Ability to communicate the vision for improved service delivery and bring it alive, inspire people to contribute and lead change initiatives. (NHS Drive for Results & Drive for Improvement)
* Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor teams of strategic and operational ICT professionals in line with contemporary human resource management practices to achieve defined service levels in the integrated operation of complex enterprise information services. (NHS: Leading change through people).
