Forensic Medical Service Coordinator
This position involves providing advanced clinical leadership and consultancy to the MLHD Sexual Assault Service and the wider field of medical and forensic responses to violence, abuse and neglect.
* Lead and role model professional clinical service delivery, strategic direction, advanced education, and expert clinical care and consultancy within the NSW Health Sexual Assault Service model of care.
* Provide crisis responses, non-acute clinical care, and follow up medical care and health care navigation to victim-survivors of violence, abuse and neglect in accordance with current and emerging NSW Health VAN Services models of care.
* Develop and implement annual plans for the service, including leading ongoing development of the service's clinical practice and undertaking reviews to drive new directions.
The ideal candidate will possess current authority to practice unrestricted as a Registered Nurse, completed graduate certificate in the medical and forensic management of adult sexual assault, and have completed at least three supervised medical and forensic consultations on a patient reporting recent sexual assault.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of seven years full time equivalent post registration experience and a minimum of five years clinical nursing experience in a relevant clinical speciality.
