OGM Engineering is expanding fast. With multiple major recycling plant projects underway across Australia, we're strengthening our Operations team with a senior hire — a Site Operations Manager to take ownership of site execution and preparation across our projects.

About the role
This is a senior, office-based operations role responsible for ensuring all site works are properly planned, prepared, and set up for success before mobilisation.
You'll work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and site foremen to coordinate labour, logistics, safety, access, and sequencing — removing friction and uncertainty before crews arrive on site.
The focus of the role is site execution preparation and coordination, ensuring site teams are fully supported, informed, and ready to deliver once work begins.
If you have strong construction experience, understand how complex sites actually run, and enjoy organising execution at a high level — this is a pivotal role in our operations team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Coordinate and prepare all prerequisites required for site works
* Plan and organise site labour allocation in line with project schedules
* Work with Project Engineers / Managers to understand project execution plans
* Run pre-site preparation and install readiness meetings
* Coordinate cranes, major lifts, and site logistics
* Organise travel, accommodation, and site access requirements
* Ensure drawings, information, and materials are ready prior to mobilisation
* Prepare and manage SWMS, JSAs, permits, and site safety requirements
* Communicate execution plans to site foremen and crews via toolbox meetings
* Track site progress and provide clear reporting back to Operations
* Identify risks, gaps, or clashes early and resolve them before site starts

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Strong background in construction or industrial site operations
* Proven experience working across multiple trades and complex sites
* Highly organised with strong planning and coordination skills
* High-level PC skills and confidence working in systems and documentation
* Comfortable in a predominantly office-based role with regular site visits
* Clear communicator who can work confidently with engineers, foremen, and crews
* Understands the importance of preparation, sequencing, and readiness
* Able to operate independently and take ownership of outcomes
* Calm, practical, and solutions-focused under pressure
