Operations Coordinator
We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team in Newcastle. As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily port activities.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Port Manager in planning and coordinating vessel and shore maintenance
* Acting as the main point of contact for technical matters
* Managing requisitions, purchases, deliveries, and procurement meetings
* Overseeing warehouse and yard coordination, parts provisioning, and management of shore-based infrastructure
* Handling general office administration and preparing reports as required
You will be working closely with the Technical Superintendent, crews, and technical teams to maintain high performance and drive continuous improvement across our operations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Mechanical trades knowledge and/or previous experience in a mechanical trades position
* Proven computer literacy with competency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Excellent time management skills
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
