About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for an experienced, proactive and adaptable Payroll Officer to join our Finance team based in Silverwater.
As a Payroll Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time across all Group entities. You’ll manage end‑to‑end payroll processing, respond to employee queries, and support compliance activities – all within a supportive and collaborative team.
This role would suit someone who prides themselves on their attention to detail, is comfortable working autonomously, and enjoys helping others.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll
- Preparing monthly reporting including PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation
- Responding to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Processing terminations, adjustments and maintaining employee records
- Interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
- General payroll administration and ad hoc tasks
What You’ll Bring
- Previous payroll experience in a medium or large organisation
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and discretion
- Experience with UKG/Kronos and Payroll Metrics (highly desirable)
- Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and problem‑solve
- A collaborative approach and strong work ethic
