Experienced Workshop Coordinator required ASAP to lead daily workshop operations, coordinate workflow, and drive safety, quality, and productivity across all projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage resources, support your team, and ensure jobs are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily pre-start meetings with a strong safety focus
* Coordinate job scheduling, labour allocation, and workflow
* Monitor job progress and communicate to the Management Team
* Ensure materials, job traceability, and documentation are accurate
* Oversee quality checks and ensure all paperwork is completed and signed off
* Manage stores coordination (inward goods, dispatch and stock control)
* Provide technical guidance across workshop activities and projects
* Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders on job updates
* Mentor, support, and develop workshop personnel and apprentices
* Promote and lead a strong zero-harm safety culture
About You
* Engineering Trade Qualification (Fitter, Turner, Welder or similar)
* Previous workshop or supervisory experience
* Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
* Solid understanding of piping, structural work, and technical drawings
* Safety and quality focused
* CAD skills advantageous but not essential
* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
