About the Role
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you play a vital role in shaping each client's experience from the moment they walk through our doors. You are often the first point of contact for pet owners and help set the tone for trust, reassurance, and care.
You will work closely with our veterinary and nursing team to ensure smooth clinic operations while maintaining clear, compassionate communication with clients.
This Veterinary Receptionist role in Brisbane offers the opportunity to work in a supportive clinic with clear communication, ongoing training, and genuine care for both clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome pet parents and their pets with genuine warmth and care
* Manage appointment bookings, client records, and payment processing
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area
* Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients in person, over the phone, and via email
* Support the veterinary and nursing team to ensure efficient clinic flow and patient care
* Provide information about our services and help guide clients through their pet's care journey
* Uphold client confidentiality and MustCare Vet Centres' standards of veterinary practice
About You
* Previous experience as a receptionist, ideally in a veterinary or healthcare setting
* Experience in a veterinary or healthcare environment is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning veterinary software
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Calm, empathetic, and professional in busy or emotional situations
* A genuine love for animals and an understanding of the bond between pets and their families
