We're a small, growing construction business working across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, specialising in retaining walls, fencing, landscaping works and occasional carpentry jobs.
We're looking for a reliable Leading Hand to step into a key on-site role, running a small crew and helping us lift the standard across jobs and take responsibility for planning and owning jobs from start to finish.
This role suits someone who's practical, organised on site, and comfortable taking responsibility — formal qualifications aren't essential, but experience is.

About the role
* Run a team of 2–3 labourers on site
* Set out jobs, plan the day, and keep things moving
* Build retaining walls (concrete sleeper & timber)
* Install timber and Colorbond fencing
* Handle basic carpentry tasks as required
* Maintain site safety, quality, and presentation
* Communicate clearly with the owner and clients when needed
You won't be stuck behind a desk — this is a hands-on leading hand role, but with real responsibility and trust.

What we're looking for
* Proven experience in landscaping, fencing, retaining walls or similar construction work
* Comfortable leading people and taking charge on site
* Good problem-solving skills
* Can read plans / follow specs (or willing to learn)
* Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
* White Card (required)
* Driver's licence (required)
* Ute / vehicle is essential, and tools are preferred
* Excavator / Truck tickets and experience are a bonus

Carpentry or Structural Landscaping experience opportunity
While this role does not require a carpentry qualification, there is an opportunity to:
* Gain hands-on carpentry experience
* Work under a licensed carpenter
* Potentially receive experience towards your carpentry qualifications in the future if you're heading down that path
