About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Research Nurse to provide subject matter expertise and research support to the REBUILD project (Reducing the Burden of Healthcare-Associated Infection Using a Learning Health Systems Approach), led by A/Prof Jessica Schults. Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) affect 1 in 10 hospitalised Australians and cost over $1 billion annually, with up to half considered preventable. Despite this, current infection control systems remain inefficient. REBUILD aims to transform infection control by implementing a digitally enabled Learning Health System (LHS) that drives continuous, data-informed improvement. The REBUILD collaborative brings together leading national researchers, clinicians, health services and professional networks to integrate data and strengthen infection control systems—improving patient outcomes and reducing the burden of HAIs across Australia. Key responsibilities will include: Project Coordination Responsibilities Coordinate key stages of the project lifecycle (planning, monitoring and evaluation) in line with agreed methodologies and timeframes. Manage assessment processes and maintain accurate data records in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Provide project management and subject matter advice to support effective delivery of outcomes. Utilise research management systems (e.g. Ethics Review Manager, MyResearch, REDCap ). Undertake other duties as directed by the Principal Investigator. Project Administration and Communication Develop and maintain project documentation and communication materials, including plans, scoping and evaluation documents, reporting templates, updates and post-project reports. This is a part-time ( 40 %), fixed-term position up to December 2027 at HEW Level 7. About You A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least four years’ subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Demonstrated experience managing projects of comparable scale and complexity, including planning, prioritising tasks, meeting tight deadlines, anticipating requirements and resolving issues. Strong problem-solving, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Ethics Review Manager, MyResearch and REDCap, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire proficiency in new systems. Previous research experience in Infection Prevention and Vascular Access desirable.
