About the role
Join NT Health's 2026 remote dental program delivering essential care across Central Australia and the Top End. As a locum Dentist, you'll work as a sole practitioner supported by a Dental Assistant, with a comprehensive paid orientation before travelling to multiple Aboriginal communities across 4‑5‑week blocks. Each placement offers a mix of general, emergency, and preventive dentistry in well‑established remote clinics, supported by NT Health teams, community staff and cmr. This role is ideal for Dentists who enjoy variety, meaningful work and the independence that remote practice brings – while still having the support of experienced teams behind you.
You will
* Provide general, emergency & preventive dentistry in remote clinics
* Work closely with a DA and collaborate with community health teams
* Travel to multiple communities within each placement block
* Deliver culturally appropriate care with support from local staff
Skills & experience
* AHPRA-registered Dentist
* Confident working independently in a public health setting
* Inclusive, team-focused communicator
* Adaptable; AMS, public or community health experience highly regarded
* Minimum 2 years Australian clinical experience
