We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our building team as a Contract Admin and Project Coordinator. This role is ideal for a recent graduate in Project Management or Civil Engineering, or someone currently studying one of these fields. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside Building Supervisors, Civil Engineers, Trades, Administrators, Surveyors, and other key personnel involved in our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project coordination and administration tasks for building projects.
- Support the Project Manager in tracking project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and correspondence.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with Building Supervisors and Engineers to ensure work is completed according to specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Assist in the management of construction contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Help manage project schedules, including organizing site visits and inspections.
- Work closely with the surveyor, tradespeople, and other team members to facilitate the delivery of projects.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or currently studying one of these qualifications.
- Basic knowledge or understanding of building construction processes and terminology.
- Previous experience in the building or construction industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in the industry.
