**About The Opportunity**:
The role is for an environmental specialist to help deliver a growing portfolio of projects in the following areas:
- Management and delivery of environmental licensing and approvals processes to support State and Federal environmental approvals for resource, industrial and/or energy projects
- Development of approvals and compliance strategies for medium to large scale projects
- EPBC referral processes
- Environmental management systems, plans, policies, and procedures
- Regulatory compliance and assurance
- Estimated rehabilitation costing
- Environmental risk identification and management
- Coordinating the development of Environmental Management Plans for design and construction
- Review of legislation, industry, and government guidelines, licenses, permits, and other regulatory instruments
- Preparation of associated advice in regard to approval, compliance, and other associated matters
- Assisting clients with various compliance and regulatory matters, including assurance and due diligence activities
- Occasional fieldworks, including site inspections, field assurance, and record reviews
- Project manage, develop bids, and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders on a range of projects
**About You**:
- 5+ years of experience in Queensland and Commonwealth resource approvals and compliance
- A working knowledge of Queensland's legislative environmental framework is required
- Qualified to degree level in a science, engineering or legal discipline
- Knowledge of the Australian Commonwealth environmental framework or framework in Australian jurisdictions other than Queensland (desirable)

- A great eye for detail, a sense of practicality in regard to legislative and technical interpretation, and the ability to find pragmatic solutions
