We are establishing an appointment pool for vacancies that arise within the next 12 months. We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.
About the role
Provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with a range of services to assist them in their academic pursuits at North Metropolitan TAFE.
To be successful in this role you will have experience working effectively within a team, the ability to communicate effectively, conflict and negotiation skills. A sound understanding of Aboriginal culture and issues effecting Aboriginals in contemporary Australian Society and identify Aboriginal training needs.
Aboriginality is considered as a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984. Therefore, this role is open only to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract and casual appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
Over the next twelve (12) months; candidates found "Suitable" through this process may be offered appointment to similar & subsequent vacancies within the College, within other TAFE Colleges or across WA Government (subject to candidate permission being granted).
