About the role Located in Balmoral, We are currently seeking experienced casual Disability Support Workers to work with our 23-year-old female client who has a Traumatic Brain Injury.
Our client requires comprehensive support with all aspects of daily living.
Behavioural support is also required.
Client engagment is a big part of this role so we are seeking candidates that value engagment support and active communication.
The role involves a 2:1 staffing ratio and includes: 2 x morning shifts 2 x afternoon shifts 1 x active night duty shifts 7 days a week The ideal candidate will possess: A supportive and patient demeanor Understanding of traumatic brain injuries and their effects Ability to provide high-quality care and assistance Can follow a clients specific care plan and routines Your key responsibilities Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities: Manual handling Behavioural support Personal care Continence management Engagment active communication Medication administration Domestic assistance Rehabilitation exercises Adhering to PBSP About you To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience: Previous disability experience including behavioural support (minimum 2 years) Manual handling experience (essential) Personal care experience Current First aid and CPR NDIS Worker Screening Card Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain at your cost) Medication certificate (or willing to obtain at your cost) The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
