About the role This is a permanent part-time opportunity working Monday to Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm. Some of your main duties include the following: Work with Education providers to assist with fee management, providing fair, respectful, and compassionate services to ensure payment is received. Monitor outstanding debts and follow up according to providers terms and policies. Prepare and keep records of all debt collection activities and maintain up-to-date files for each debtor. Contact clients to discuss overdue fees and, where appropriate, set up payment plans, considering their financial situations. Review overdue accounts to identify families and individuals experiencing financial hardship and encourage them to apply for fee assistance if needed. Manage fee assistance applications from start to finish, ensuring timely follow-up and responses. Refer complex fee assistance cases to the Team Leader for support and advice. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. About you Recent experience in debt collection, with a focus on customer service, ideally in a Not-for-Profit organisation. Knowledge of the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles, especially in debt management. Strong customer service skills and experience working with diverse groups. Experienced in handling confidential and sensitive information. Confident in managing difficult conversations over the phone and by email.
