Smiths Beach Resort is a premier luxury resort in the stunning Margaret River Region and a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to join our passionate and purpose-driven team.
Reporting to both the Resort Manager and Company Director, this full-time, on-site role leads the strategic planning and execution of all marketing and sales initiatives. It offers a unique opportunity to shape brand positioning, increase occupancy, drive revenue, and elevate guest engagement through creative campaigns and meaningful partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the resort’s strategic Marketing, Communication and Sales plan in line with budget and brand goals
* Lead and support marketing activities including content creation, website management, eDM campaigns, and social media engagement
* Build, manage and execute creative campaigns across digital and traditional channels, tracking performance and ROI
* Manage the Sales function across leisure, corporate, groups, and events – identifying new markets and converting opportunities
* Nurture relationships with key industry partners, travel agents, and tourism stakeholders
* Lead and inspire a small team, including Business Development Managers (Leisure and Groups & Conferences adn Groups)
* Oversee trade/media famils, develop itineraries and guest experiences in collaboration with external partners
* Drive brand consistency across all content and collateral, working with external designers, writers, and consultants
* Monitor guest feedback and work closely with internal teams to enhance the overall resort experience
About You
You're a creative, savvy marketing and sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys autonomy. You bring:
* 5+ years of experience in a similar marketing/sales role, ideally in luxury hospitality or tourism but not essential
* Proven success in driving revenue, occupancy and brand visibility through integrated campaigns
* Strong digital capabilities including content strategy, SEO, website and social media management
* Experience with tools such as Canva, InDesign, WordPress, and Google Analytics
* Confidence leading external suppliers, media, and internal stakeholders
* Excellent copywriting and visual storytelling skills
* Highly organized, self-driven and collaborative approach
* A current driver’s license and Police Clearance
* A passion for luxury travel, guest experience and the incredible Margaret River region
