Senior Accountant Role Overview
This senior accountant role is a leadership position that involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and business activity statements (BAS) prepared by the team.
* Lead and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS, international accounting standards (IAS), and fringe benefits tax (FBT) prepared by your team.
* Mentor and train staff to build technical excellence and confidence.
* Manage workflow to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Provide guidance on complex tax matters and tax-efficient structuring, including property portfolios.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in accounting software Xero.
