We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join our team as a Senior Crown Prosecutor. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of Queensland criminal law and the ability to manage complex trials, appeals, and tactical legal challenges.
About the Role
* Lead high-stakes prosecutions and represent the Crown in superior court trials
* Provide expert advice to the Director of Public Prosecutions on criminal law and evidence
* Exercise prosecutorial discretion and make decisions on initiating, modifying, or discontinuing serious criminal charges
* Champion victims' rights and support them throughout the legal process
* Build strong relationships with judges, legal counsel, police, court officials, and victims
* Develop rising talent and inspire and mentor Crown Prosecutors, legal officers, and support staff

Key Requirements
* Admission as a Legal Practitioner in a State or Territory of Australia
* Applications to remain current for 12 months
