Are you organised, reliable, and passionate about helping your community? We’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team and support our Meals on Wheels service. This rewarding role involves preparing and packing participant meal orders, coordinating with volunteer drivers, and ensuring every delivery goes out smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Pack and check participant meal orders accurately and efficiently.
Coordinate with volunteer drivers to ensure timely delivery of meals.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in accordance with food safety standards.
Check off daily delivery lists and confirm all meals are accounted for.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and volunteers to resolve any order or delivery issues.
About You
Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or food service environment (preferred but not essential).
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Robust communication and teamwork abilities.
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to support older members of our community.
Reliable and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
