Position Overview
We're looking for a hands‐on Creative Lead to elevate our output and bring strong creative thinking into how we pitch, present and deliver work. Sitting within the Multicultural Communications & Engagement team, you'll work across both Growth and delivery, shaping work from early‐stage concepts through to campaign execution.
This is a player‐coach role. You'll be hands‐on in design while also leading creative direction, guiding designers and driving the continued evolution of our work.
You'll contribute to creative strategy and ideation, developing distinctive campaign ideas, formats and approaches that engage audiences and help our work stand out.
You'll translate strategy, research and community insight into creative work that connects, using cultural understanding to inform relevant, thoughtful and effective ideas.
As a key brand custodian, you'll help ensure consistency and quality across both client work and Ethnolink's own marketing and communications.
Responsibilities Creative Thinking & Campaign Ideation
* Lead creative strategy and ideation, developing campaign ideas, concepts, and formats
* Bring fresh and original thinking to how messages are communicated across channels and audiences
* Support the articulation and presentation of creative ideas to internal teams and clients
Ownership of Creative Output
* Design and refine key assets including pitch decks, case studies, and credentials
* Develop and deliver creative assets across campaign work, including digital, print, and other content formats
* Ensure all work is polished, consistent and presentation-ready
* Develop templates and visual systems that improve quality and efficiency across the agency
Creative Direction & Team Output
* Provide clear creative direction to in‐house and freelance designers
* Review work, give feedback, guide and lift overall quality across creatives
* Improve workflows, briefing processes, and output standards
Integrate Insights and Creative
* Work with Engagement team to translate research and community insights into creative approaches
* Develop work that is culturally informed, audience‐aware and designed to resonate
* Ensure outputs are accessible and appropriate across diverse audiences and formats
Build the Creative Function
* Contribute to how creative works at Ethnolink as the function grows
* Bring creative thinking and ways of working into the agency
* Identify opportunities to improve creative quality, processes and outputs over time
Skills & Qualifications Required
* Minimum 7 years' experience in design or creative roles within an agency environment.
* Experience working across campaigns, brand and content, from concept through to execution
* Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality visual execution and concept‐driven thinking
* Confidence contributing to creative strategy and campaign ideation
* Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling
* Desire to guide and mentor junior creatives.
* Experience in multicultural communications or designing for diverse audiences.
* Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
* Alignment with Ethnolink's Core Values.
Desirable
* Familiarity with multilingual typesetting and working across multiple languages.
* The ability to speak a language other than English.
