Whats the role
We're looking for a Senior Associate / Associate to join the Credit & Capital team within Westpac's Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB).
This team plays a key role in credit risk reporting analytics and regulatory compliance across divisional and group forums.
You'll support the delivery of credit reporting obligations, contribute to model development and embedment, and act as a business SME for core technology platforms.
You'll work closely with product and industry teams, risk and compliance, and other divisional stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, effective model usage, and smooth portfolio operations.
You'll also stay across market and regulatory developments and help drive improvements in credit processes and data visualisation.
This is a full-time role based in Sydney offering a collaborative team environment and exposure to strategic credit initiatives across the bank.
What do I need
We're looking for someone who brings the following:
Understanding of credit and credit risk in an institutional or commercial banking environment.
Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, R or Python; ability to work with complex systems and data.
Relevant qualifications in business finance, accounting or mathematics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work across teams and influence outcomes.
