About Us
DGA Roofing is a family run roofing business with a reputation for quality craftsmanship, integrity, and exceptional customer service. We specialise in residential, commercial and insurance roofing projects for both tile and metal roofing and are growing rapidly—so we're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Roofing Estimator to join our team! We are based in Monbulk, providing service to Greater Melbourne and surrounds. Within the coming months we will be moving to brand new, purpose built premises in Seville .
What You'll Do
* Occasionally conduct site visits to evaluate project scope and gather accurate measurements in conjunction with our roofing Project Managers
* Prepare detailed and competitive roofing estimates for residential, commercial and insurance projects
* Analyse plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation
* Collaborate with project managers, and customers to ensure accurate and timely bids
* Monitor material and labour costs to adjust estimates as needed
* Provide follow-up support on active bids and assist in closing sales opportunities
What We're Looking For
* 2+ years of experience in roofing estimation (residential and/or commercial).
* Strong knowledge of various roofing systems and materials.
* Understanding of compliance to AS3500 and AS2050 would be highly advantageous.
* Ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents.
* High level of proficiency in estimation software (e.g. Roof Wizard or Virtual Estimator).
* Experience with professional roofing estimation software is essential for this position.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SimPro knowledge would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented, organised, and deadline-driven.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
