The role of Legal Counsel involves providing legal advice and support on all aspects of a key strategic partnership with a focus on data privacy, competition law and consumer protection, as well as commercial and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to a Senior Legal Counsel, you will work closely with the Legal team, Compliance and other business stakeholders to advise on legal aspects of a key strategic partnership and draft, review and negotiate customer contracts.
This role requires a skilled lawyer with experience in financial services, prior in-house experience or reputable law firm experience, and extensive contract negotiation and compliance skills.
Requirements

1. 5-7 years experience as a commercial lawyer with financial services experience and knowledge of relevant regulations.
2. Prior in-house experience or reputable law firm experience.
3. Extensive contract negotiation and compliance skills, with ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
4. Comprehensive understanding of Data Privacy, Competition Law and Consumer Protection principles.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
2. Previous experience in a Compliance role, with knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
