**THE PROJECT**
- The Utilities business are the preferred contractor on two of the largest energy infrastructure projects within the Australian energy sector, one of these projects is located in Queensland and the other in New South Wales. These two exciting opportunities secure a pipeline of work until 2027 and include the design & construction of new transmission lines and substations.
- The Hunter Power Project is the construction of a 660MW Power Station comprising of two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines. Located in the in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, 35 km west of Newcastle.
- UGL's utilities business undertakes essential design & construction services for critical infrastructure in the power and water sectors. Our end-to-end delivery ranges from transmission lines, switchyards, substations, electrical distribution through to water and wastewater treatment plants and water pipelines.
**Some key responsibilities of this role will include**:
- Ensure that the Document Control procedure requirements are complied
- Acquisition, recording, filing and distribution of relevant Australian and International Standards and Procedures
- Control the identification, registration, distribution, and retention of all design, client, and vendor documentation.
- Enforce Document Control Procedure as required
- Set up the Project Drawing files after verification that all drawings issued by client or other parties are in accordance with the associated transmittal.
- Log receipt of technical queries, improvement requests, engineering change notices, construction change notices, material receiving reports and over, short and damage reports. Issue to the appropriate personnel for review and action.
- Complete close out of Project and ensure the traceability and accurate archiving of all controlled/uncontrolled documentation, according to Company Standards.
- Maintain facilities and databases to ensure efficient operation of the document control function.
- Acquisition, recording, filing and distribution of relevant Australian and International Standards and Procedure.
**About You**:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a document control role
- Experience with MS Office, Lotus Notes, Aconex and Ineight teambinder
- Engineering, mining/processing plant construction/operational knowledge
- Previous experience in document control in an engineering design office or related field
- A good standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail & effective verbal and written communication capability.
- Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.
- Energetic with a positive can-do attitude.
