A position has become available for a Fitter and Turner / Manual Machinist role with applicants preferred trade qualified as either a Fitter & Turner or Toolmaker.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to be upskilled as a Gear Cutter. This is a low impact role in comparisson to using lathes and milling machines. History in Gear Cutting is not required.
Applicants with similar work history will be considered without trade qualifications.
Training/upskilling is available to candidates that have a backrgound in the engineering industry and a genuine interest in learing manual machining processes and gear cutting.
To be successful in this role it is preferred that you are/have:
Australian work rights are required for this position.
* Extensive skills and experience in the processes of manual machining.
* Extensive experience using dial indicators and measuring equipment
* Must be trade qualified
* Extremely confident reading engineering drawings
* A keen eye for detail and quality workmanship
* Committed to maintaining tight tolerances and producing quality products
* Enthusiastic
* Able to work as part of a team but with minimal supervision
* A clear communicator, able to read and understand English
* Understand and demonstrate safe working methodology
* Able to work to both quality and time requirements
