Our client is a global automotive manufacturer.
We are seeking an experienced Test & Validation Engineer to support functionality testing across ongoing product development programs.
You will be responsible for test case design, test tool development, validation execution, and delivery of detailed test reports and statistics.
This role supports both International Market Group (IMG) vehicle and Breadboard testing, contributing to the validation of world-class automotive products and systems.
This position is critical to prototype vehicle and Breadboard sign-off activities, including electrical system fault-finding, validation, and feature/function verification.
The role is based onsite at Lara and may require driving prototype vehicles across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Breadboard and vehicle-level sign-off testing
Perform electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis
Support D&R meetings and cross-functional engineering discussions
Develop and execute test cases, test procedures, and automated test tools
Deliver accurate test reports, documentation, and statistical summaries
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in automotive testing, validation, diagnostics, or electrical engineering
Degree or trade-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar
Proven hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics using CANalyzer, CANoe, or similar, fault tracing, and feature validation
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, systems, ECUs, and feature/function behaviour
Use of test automation tools or scripting (Python, CAPL, or similar)
Experience working with Breadboards, prototype vehicles, or development rigs
Solid knowledge of FMEA, failure modes, validation processes, and test method development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across local and global teams
