Overview
As our Switchboard Operative, you'll deliver a professional and customer-focused telephony service, ensuring every caller feels valued from the moment they connect. You'll also represent Aon within the local and regional business community—with the flexibility of working from home and the energy of our vibrant office environment.
What You'll Do
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
Listen carefully to callers' requests and route them correctly the first time.
Keep staff extensions and department information up to date, so you can provide efficient service.
Maintain confidentiality of colleagues' contact details.
Stay calm and use initiative to manage changing priorities.
Communicate clearly and diplomatically with a diverse range of people.
Escalate technical issues through the right channels.
Support health, safety, and security procedures, and report any suspected phishing cases.
Keep your work area tidy and provide management information as needed.
Support the facilities management team with admin tasks when required.
What We're Looking For
A friendly, professional approach and exemplary customer focus.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Previous customer service experience.
