Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.Mount Hawthorn Education Support Centre (ESC) is a public school for children with special needs with a strong emphasis on reaching for independence. We provide an alternative learning environment to develop abilities, independence and educational, physical, and social skills and knowledge, in preparation for the future.Under the direction of the teacher, suitable applicants will ideally utilise a range of skills which will include the use of explicit teaching, Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communications Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Direct Instruction, Team Teach, Key Word Sign and AAC. A sound knowledge of Information and communication technology (ICT) will be highly regarded, as computers and iPads are integral across all learning areas.
