Duties & Responsibilities
* Client & Stakeholder Engagement
o Work closely with clients, marketing teams, and project managers to define project goals, brand guidelines, and technical requirements.
o Present design concepts and gather feedback to refine solutions.
* Research & UX/UI Analysis
o Conduct research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitor websites to inform design strategies.
o Analyse user behaviour and functional needs to optimize site navigation, accessibility, and responsiveness.
* Concept Development & Prototyping
o Brainstorm and develop innovative design concepts that align with client objectives and creative standards.
o Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to visualize website structure and user flows.
* Visual Design & Branding
o Design high-fidelity layouts, graphics, and UI elements (icons, buttons, etc.) that enhance aesthetics and usability.
o Select typography, colour palettes, and imagery to reinforce brand identity.
* Collaboration & Feedback Integration
o Partner with developers, content creators, and sales teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with project timelines.
o Iterate on designs based on stakeholder input and usability testing.
* Material & Technology Selection
o Recommend tools, platforms, and media (e.g., CMS, animations, plugins) to balance functionality and visual impact.
o Ensure designs are optimized for performance, SEO, and cross-device compatibility.
* Design Documentation & Handoff
o Prepare detailed style guides, design specs, and assets for developers to ensure accurate implementation.
o Maintain organized files and documentation for future reference.
* Production Oversight
o Assist in the execution of approved designs, ensuring consistency across all deliverables.
o Conduct quality checks to verify design integrity during and post-development.
* Project Archiving & Knowledge Management
o Archive completed project assets, source files, and client communications for future updates or reuse.
o Contribute to internal design library and best practices.
Desired Skills & Required Qualifications
* Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch).
* Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, and web standards.
* Experience with HTML/CSS (basic knowledge is a plus).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Portfolio showcasing web design projects.
* 2 years of fulltime experience as a Web Designer or Similar role.
* Relevant standard qualifications or equivalent.
