The Van Dyke Press is a well-established Australian printing company specialising in high-quality flexographic printing solutions for packaging and labels. Due to ongoing business needs, we are seeking an experienced Flexographic Printing Machinist to join our production team.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, operate, and maintain flexographic printing presses in accordance with job specifications
* Prepare inks, plates, anilox rolls, and substrates for production runs
* Monitor print quality throughout production and make precise adjustments as required
* Perform routine machine maintenance, fault-finding, and basic troubleshooting
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, quality assurance, food safety, and production standards
* Achieve production targets while minimising waste and downtime
* Accurately read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and quality requirements
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 1 years experience working as a Flexographic Printing Machinist
* Knowledge of anilox rolls, plates, inks, and substrates
* Experience with mid wide web UV flexo presses
* Basic mechanical or technical skills
* Experience in packaging or label printing with UV inks
* Ability to read job tickets and quality specifications
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Willingness to work shifts and overtime if required
