About the Role
One Rail Australia is seeking a Rollingstock Maintainer to join the Queensland Maintenance team and support the growing maintenance operation in Queensland. Rollingstock Maintainers play a key role in guaranteeing the ongoing operations of ORA's Rollingstock fleet in the Mackay region and become part of our rapidly growing presence in central Queensland.
A key benefit of these roles is the family orientated roster. These roles offer a competitive hourly rate and the successful applicants will join a supportive and safety conscious team environment.
Please note, these are residential roles and you must reside in the Mackay region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rollingstock examination
* Field maintenance of Rollingstock including derailment recovery
* Servicing and repairs on Locomotives and Wagons
* Driving/operation field service vehicles and mobile lifting equipment
* Scheduled servicing, unplanned maintenance and modifications to rollingstock
* Maintenance and repair of fixed plant and workshop equipment
* Maintenance and repair ECP Brake Systems on all Rollingstock
About You
We are seeking motivated, team orientated and safety conscious Electrical or Diesel Fitter trade qualified person who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will have similar working experience, have the ability to manage time effectively and have a high level of quality in output of work.
Applicants must be able to work 11–12-hour shifts, both day and night shifts as required.
Essential Qualifications
* Trade Qualified Electrical / Diesel Fitter
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* A commitment to safety
* Ability to work on a 24.7 roster
* The ability to work as part of a team
Desirable
* Demonstrated experience in Rollingstock Maintenance
* Medium Rigid truck Licence
