Recovery Support Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy and effective communication skills to support individuals with mental illness in their recovery journey.
* This position involves working closely with consumers to understand their needs, provide individualized support, and facilitate group programs focused on psychoeducation, skill development, and community connectedness.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the recovery process, excellent listening and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
The selected candidate will have experience in facilitating group programs, possess awareness of the needs, expectations, and issues pertaining to clients with mental illness, and demonstrate a client-focused and recovery-based philosophy.
Requirements
* Minimum of a Cert IV in Peer Work or Community Services related discipline (ideally a completed degree or Diploma).
* Experience and skills in working with people experiencing mental illness.
* Experience in facilitating group programs.
* Good computer skills.
* Must be eligible to apply for WWCC and NDIS worker screening clearance.
* Current Drivers License.
