Gary S Rolfe Solicitors are a long established and well respected law practice in Caboolture. We are seeking an admitted Lawyer who possesses a strong desire to practise in the areas of Criminal Law and Domestic and Family Violence.
We are seeking to appoint an impressive, dynamic and suitably qualified Lawyer to join our highly experienced and expanding team. The most suitable applicant will possess experience and a strong interest and passion in Criminal Law. Furthermore, an interest and experience and a held desire to practise in the area of Domestic Violence would be a marked advantage.

This role offers great opportunities and would be ideal for a Lawyer who wishes to learn and hone a high level of advocacy and practical skills in a nurturing and supportive environment.
It is expected that the successful Applicant would attend Court and provide exceptional advocacy for their clients on a daily basis.
The ideal applicant will possess the following:
1. A Law degree including studies in Criminal Law, Domestic and Family Violence and hold or be eligible to hold a current practising certificate with the Qld Law Society;
2. An ability to personally appear and represent their clients in the Magistrates, Children's, District and Supreme Courts. .
3. The capacity and skills to professionally, intelligently and vigorously advocate on behalf of their clients;
4. A good understanding and working knowledge of the Criminal Law and relevant legislation in Queensland and if possible, the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012
5. Current accreditation (by Legal Aid Queensland) as a Criminal Law Duty Lawyer and or Domestic Violence Duty Lawyer or possess the skills and experience to become so accredited within a short period of time.
6. A professional, friendly and approachable nature;
7. The ability to work autonomously and in a supportive team environment;
8. Strong attention to detail.
9. Strong computer skills.
10. One year + PAE in the above stated areas of Law is a definite advantage.
