As our client's team based in Townsville is growing, we are seeking a Trade Qualified Fitter for a project. The successful applicant will have a high regard for quality, safety and communication and customer relation skills. You will be exposed to a range of opportunities to develop your skills within a highly supportive team-based environment.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out a range of mechanical works on fixed and mobile process equipment
* Assemble spooling and mechanical components including valves and instruments to the required standard
* Maintenance tasks, inspections and warranty repairs
* Ensure equipment is maintained to industry and regulatory requirements
* Assist with fabrication works
* Monitor and ensure all quality standards are met
Essential qualifications and experience
* Relevant mechanical trade qualification
* Construction Card
* Experience with structural steel install
* Structural steel and piping experience
* Australian driver\'s license
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and written documentation, including Isometric and PID\'s
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Ability to comply with the SELECT and common industry "Fitness for Work" policies
