This includes strategic planning, operational management, team leadership, and client relationship management. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance our operational efficiency, market presence, and profitability.Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including freight forwarding, customs broking, logistics coordination, and supply chain management. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, motivate and develop a diverse team of professionals. Foster a positive work environment and encourage professional development.Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Address client concerns and ensure exceptional service delivery.Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics. Analyse financial reports to drive business decisions and optimize profitability.Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand our client base and service offerings. Provide strong leadership guidance, clear expectations and accountabilities around business development activities.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ensure the company's operations are resilient and adaptable to industry changes.Accountable for setting a positive example for employees by demonstrating high standards of conduct, integrity, and a strong work ethic.Ability to evaluate team performance, ensure optimal capacity, and identify opportunities for improvement through streamlined workflows and targeted training.Qualifications And SkillsExperience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus or 10-15 yrs.+ in the industry in a related/similar role.Skills: Proven strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with high emotional intelligence. Proficient in financial management and strategic planning. Technologically savvy with an ability to seek out and utilise digitalisation trends, data analytics and automation to enhance operational efficiency.Knowledge: In depth knowledge of end-to-end logistics and a deep understanding of freight forwarding processes, customs regulations and brokerage, industry regulations, compliance requirements and market trends. Familiarity with logistics software where a working knowledge of Expedient would be beneficial.Attributes: Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
