Requirements
Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Experience working as a Consultant / Staff Specialist Anaesthetist
Expedited Specialist Pathway (IMGs Welcome)
International Medical Graduates may be eligible via the Medical Board’s Expedited Specialist Pathway.
The Pathway Is Currently Available For Eligible Specialists In
Anaesthesia General Practice Psychiatry Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Eligible SIMGs holding an accepted specialist qualification (e.g., UK or Ireland) may commence practice once specialist registration and a supervised position are approved, with a six-month supervised practice period required.
