The Opportunity
We are seeking a Barista to join our café team at John Flynn Private Hospital. As a valued member of our café team, you will be responsible for delivering a welcoming customer experience while preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, light meals, and snacks.
Your key responsibilities in this role include:
* Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages.
* Taking customer orders and operating the point-of-sale system.
* Assisting with basic food preparation.
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with food safety and hospital standards.
* Providing efficient and friendly service to customers, patients, and staff.
About You

We're looking for someone who has:
* Previous café or hospitality experience (barista skills highly regarded).
* A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A strong customer service focus and a friendly, professional manner.
* A willingness to work flexible shifts, including mornings and weekends.
* A Certificate II or III in Hospitality (desirable, but not essential).
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $26.50 - $29.70 + superannuation + causal loading, based on experience level and qualifications. (QLD Support Services Level 1.1-2.1).
