Northern Building and Property Services is known as a "do it all" Building and Trade service provider. Located in Katherine, and holding both Commercial and Residential Licenses as well as an Electrical License we deliver complete Government projects and contracts ranging from community housing maintenance and remediation, extensions, new builds, commercial projects in assets such as Government and Council buildings, Schools, Hospitals and Health Clinics, Ranger Stations, Visitor Centres and Public use assets such as amenity blocks. Our approach goes beyond traditional building and construction. We have been in operation for over 10 years in the NT. We work in some of Australia's most remote locations. Up to 8hrs drive from the nearest Hardware Store including but not limited to Arnhem Land and Kakadu National Park. Our Clients Include Federal Government, State Government, Local Councils and NGO's. The Opportunities
Northern Building and Property Services is looking for a highly motivated, reliable qualified painter as well as a painting labourer/brush hand to join the team and work on residential and commercial projects around the NT. Work Vehicle is supplied, and flexibility in working hours are available.
Qualified & Experience Painters
Essential Skills and Experience
* Painting trade qualification and proven experience
* Spray and brush application of various paint products
* Preparation of all surfaces - Plastering experience preferred
* Maintain tools and equipment
* Minimum of 3-5 years continuous experience in painting and decorating
* Ability to drive in remote areas and unsealed roads with ute/trailers

You will :
* Have full Australian working rights and sound English skills
* Ability to undergo a Police Check as requested and maintain a Working with Children's Check - immediately upon employment and as required moving forward.
* Have an open Australian Drivers License
* Construction Induction white card
* Have reliable transport to get to and from the workshop
* Be punctual and reliable
* Ability to use an Ipad and learn our project management, stock allcoation and time recording software/apps
* A good eye for detail and commitment to quality work
* Have a positive and professional work ethic, you will also be communicating at times with tenants, clients or members of the community
* Team spirited and being able to work both independently and part of our wider teams
* Be able to complete tasks on time with strict scheules
* Have a strong commitment and understanding and following WHS procedures and standards
