The Organisation Our client is a leading Victorian community support organisation dedicated to helping individuals and families live the lives to which they aspire. They provide a broad range of specialist services, including disability support, homelessness, and community services, within a framework focused on inclusion and equity. The Role As the House Manager - Respite Services, you will provide leadership and operational oversight to a dedicated team at a Short Term Accommodation (STA) respite service. Your primary goal is to ensure that support is delivered in a person-centred, high-quality, and compliant manner, consistent with NDIS obligations and National Quality Standards. Key Responsibilities: Service Leadership: Lead and supervise support practices that empower participants to live independently and achieve their NDIS goals. Operational Management: Develop rosters, induct new staff, and conduct regular team meetings and formal supervision. Compliance & Reporting: Act as a registered Authorised Program Officer to report restrictive practices and ensure all documentation meets legislative standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with families, support coordinators, and therapy teams to optimise participant outcomes. Direct Support: Engage in regular direct support shifts to ensure high-quality service delivery. The Person: To be successful in this role, you will have: A deep understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework and the Disability Act. Proven ability to coach, mentor, and manage a team of permanent and casual staff Experience implementing Person-Centred Active Support and Positive Behaviour Support frameworks. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and manage conflicts effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems. You will also have a Cert IV in Disability (or a relevant recognised qualification), a current First Aid Level 2 and CPR Certificate, and have completed the NDIS Support Worker Module and DHHS Fire Safety training. You will also have a current Victorian Driver’s Licence and valid NDIS Worker Screening Check. The Offer This is a permanent role (with an option for pro-rata 0.8) offering the opportunity to lead a team that will provide essential services to those in need. Our client provides a salary near the higher end of the SCHADS level 4 scale, along with the opportunity to be part of a high-performing team in a mission-driven culture.
