Are you based in Melbourne’s SE suburbs or Gippsland and want to make a real impact while still maintaining a strong work life balance? We’re seeking a Quality & Continuous Improvement Leader to drive operational excellence and champion our Quality Management System (QMS) and support our operational Lean journey. This hands-on role blends leadership in Quality and Lean methodology with practical involvement in process improvement initiatives. Currently placed as a 3-day/week part time position, there is scope for flexibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and enhance the QMS in line with ISO 9001 and industry/customer regulations & requirements
* Lead internal audits and support external certification audits
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping)
* Collaborate with operational teams to embed a culture of quality and improvement
* Oversee CAPA, supplier quality, and customer quality inquiries
* Coach and train operational teams on Quality and CI practices
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
* 5+ years’ experience in quality and continuous improvement, ideally in regulated industries
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean tools, and process improvement methodologies
* Proven track record of delivering measurable CI outcomes
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
