Location: LathlainEmployment Type: Full-time (5 days per week, 38 hours standard)Term of Apprenticeship: 4 years
About the Role
As a Painting and Decorating Apprentice, duties may include:
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and repairing imperfections
* Remove old paint, wallpaper, or coatings
* Apply paint, stains, varnishes, or sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
* Mix paints and coatings to required specifications
* Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper or decorative finishes
* Create textured or decorative effects under supervision
* Set up ladders, scaffolding, and protective coverings safely
* Follow occupational health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly
* Clean and maintain tools and equipment
* Work with supervisors and other tradespeople to complete tasks

* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
* Reliable, punctual, and motivated to develop new skills through an apprenticeship
* Able to work effectively in a team and follow instructions
* Committed to completing the full term of the apprenticeship while working full-time
Eligibility Criteria
* Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Must reside in the Perth Metropolitan Area due to job location
* Must have a Valid Driver's Licence
* Must have a Valid Construction White Card
